KILO 3000 BDX
10×42 Rangefinder Binoculars
Rangefinder binoculars are one of those luxury hunting items that too many hunters overlook for the simple fact that they can be expensive. But when you think about eliminating the need for a hand-held rangefinder, a pair of rangefinder binos make perfect sense. One less thing to carry, and one less thing to monkey with while you’re in the field. With SigSauer’s KILO 3000 BDX 10X42 rangefinder binoculars you’ll be pleasantly surprised that the price is reasonable, especially when you compare it buying a rangefinder and a good pair of binoculars. With the KILO 3000 you get a very good pair of binos, plus a built-in rangefinder. That by itself is reason to purchase them.
But what makes the KILO 3000 even more appealing is the fact that you can pair it with a SIERRA3BDX riflescope from SigSauer giving you a complete optic package. The onboard Applied Ballistics Ultralite calculator sends ballistic drop data via Bluetooth directly to the SIERRA3BDX’s BDX-R1 reticle, providing an illuminated holdover dot and wind hold. SigSauer’s BDX App is free and it’s compatible with your smart phone (iOS or Android). Simply enter your ballistic information and the rest of the work is easy. If you don’t have a BDX scope not to worry. You still have a great pair of binoculars with a rangefinder built in. Simply range your target in your binoculars and you’ll get your MOA.
As the name implies, it will range targets to 3,000 yards. However, tests have shown it will pick up reflective targets up to 5,000 yards and it will effectively range big game animals between 1,500 and 2,000 yards. What you’ll like is how quickly they range an animal. Using HyperScan™ Technology, it provides four range updates per second in scan mode while RangeLock™ reports the last range result when ranging distant targets. Uses upgraded ballistic software that gives you accuracy out to 800 yards. If you want to shoot beyond 800 yards you can pair these binoculars with a Kestrel that runs on different software, but it pairs with the BDX platform giving you longer range shooting capabilities.
You’ll be impressed with the glass. The clarity is good, and will surpass your expectations for the price. The focus adjustment is quick and easy and the advanced OLED display provides a smaller, extremely precise targeting circle along with milling features and ballistic information including holdover angle. The Lumatic™ Display automatically calibrates display brightness to changing ambient light condition.
There’s really a lot to like about the KILO 3000s including that it comes with its own bino harness. $1,319.99
