Crispi Colorado GTX boots

Crispi’s new (and improved) Colorado GTX boots.

Colorado GTX boots

Crispi’s recently introduced Colorado GTX boots are ideal for hunters looking for a lighter, sturdily-built, breathable hunting boot that will lend itself best to early-season hunting where an insulated boot is overkill.

The upper is built using Crispi’s technology from its line of Summit boots, but the Colorado GTX boots have some new features. They come with a new polyurethane sole which adds comfort, beefed-up durability and rigidity. Where it matters most—on the heel and front of the boot—the soles are made from dual density polyurethane (gray material on the soles) which addresses high impact areas at the same time fights against foot fatigue.

The rand is polyurethane coated leather that’s sewn using triple stitch Kevlar stitching. This too will improve the longevity in the toe, heels and sole bottom. The upper, made from abrasion resistance Cordura®, gives the boots breathability and helps cut down on weight (each boot weighs 1.7 pounds and 8 inches tall). Crispi incorporated its ankle bone support system (ABSS) which gives added lateral support, a crucial component when side-hilling or hunting in steep terrain. These are 100% waterproof thanks to the Gore-Tex® booties.

These are well thought out boots and ideal for anyone looking for a long-lasting hunting boot for early-season to early fall hunts. If you’re familiar with the Summit, you’ll find these to be a nice upgrade.
